I remember when I got my first lanyard. It was for a huge tradeshow we were presenting at, and the credentials that got you in came on a lanyard. I recall it was pretty plain, but it looked cool with my ID badge hanging from it. Well, my boss had the idea to get some printed up for employees that were going to the show to wear instead of the plain one. There were only about twenty of us, so it didn’t cost him much, but it had the company name and a cool slogan on it. (more…)

Name Tag Lanyards
This year, I sent my daughter off to Girl Scout camp with a large pile of name custom tag lanyards to pass out to all of her new friends. Mary, my daughter, is a shy girl, and I thought that if she had a little gift for everybody at camp that some of these other girls might try to be friendly with her. When Mary got home from camp and I opened her duffle bag, there were all of the name tag lanyards – each now sporting the name of some other little girl. Mary’s excuse for collecting everybody’s name tag lanyards was simply that she liked them and wanted to keep them all. I was so embarrassed!
